HISTORY:
An agent of Doctor Strangefate, the Supreme Lord of Order,
Frankie Rayner wielded the power of the green flame as Jade
Nova. A ring on the
middle finger of her right hand would glow, transforming her
into the fiery green form of Jade Nova and allow her to create
energy constructs with the green flame.
As all of Doctor
Strangefate's agents, Rayner was indebted to the Mage Supreme.
Doctor Strangefate had saved Frankie Rayner's soul from
his enemy Mephisatanus, paying a high price in the bid for her
soul's freedom.
Frankie Rayner was not
the first to wield the power of the green flame.
The name of her predecessor and the full circumstances of
his or her transfer of power to Rayner has yet to be revealed.
Doctor Strangefate
summoned three of his most reliable agents when he learned of
the threat his universe faced from the man known as Access.
Through them he would probe Access' abilities and better
understand what he was up against.
The lone survivor of the two universes that came before
the creation of the Amalgam universe, Access had the power to
tear the universe asunder, reversing the fusion that created
Strangefate's reality.
Bruce Banner, known as
the Abominable Skulk and Wanda Zatara, known as the White Witch
and Rayner searched New Gotham City for their target.
Banner transformed into the Skulk, a pale white skinned
Marshland Monster, in an attempt to take Access by force while
Jade Nova was able to chain Access in chains of emerald energy
before he teleported away.
The White Witch managed to capture Access and she brought
him to the Tower of Strangefate, located atop Arkham Asylum.
To save his reality,
Doctor Strangefate planned to eliminate Access.
The Mage Supreme tried to destroy the shards of the prior
universes held by Access but was stunned to learn Access had
hidden them at a different location.
In a moment of confusion, Access escaped the Tower and
teleported away. The
man behind the helm of Doctor Strangefate, mutant telepath
Charles Xavier, knew he had failed to save his reality.
[DOCTOR STRANGEFATE # 1]
Access later separated
the two universes, restoring what had came before.
The current status of Jade Nova and others in her reality
has yet to be determined.
