Rayner is a young artist for the Daily Planet. When he is
enlisted by the intergalactic traveler Abin Sur to join
the elite guardians of the universe, The Green Lantern,
his world changes. He must enlist the help of Superman to
defend Earth against the Green Lantern's greatest enemy,
Sinestro.

Sinestro
is the mortal enemy of the Green Lantern. After being deemed
unfit to weild the power of the Green Lantern's ring by the
Guardians Of The Universe, Sinestro vowed revenge to destroy
the Green Lantern Corp. He comes from the far away universe
of "Qward" and uses his yellow power ring to spread
his evil through the galaxy.
